Peter Davison Interview

The great people at First Contact Conventions hosted the Lords of Time event on the first weekend of April, 2013. Doctor Who turns 50 this year and this event was a chance to celebrate the show and the official launch of the Audio Adventures of Doctor Who in Australia.

Originally only available in the UK through Big Finish Productions, they will soon be available at your local JB-HiFi or direct through local distributor Red Disc Records.

The wonderful organisers allowed me to interview some of the stars of the long running show. First up was the 5th Doctor; Peter Davison. Peter became a household name in “All Creatures Great & Small” before replacing long standing 4th Doctor Tom Baker.

Upon entering the main hall my friends & I were directed to sit near the front of the stage. There was a bit of construction going on around us with a TARDIS being built in the corner and sound testing happening on the main stage, so please excuse the background noise. Peter was the first Doctor to feature in an officially licensed Doctor Who computer game, he also featured in the PC game Destiny of the Doctors and the Doctor Who Pinball machine. Other interviews were happening around us & when Peter saw his former co star Janet Fielding (who played the 4th & 5th Doctor’s companion Tegan) he gave her a wave & she came over to say hello.

Big thanks to Scotty from First Contact Conventions for arranging this interview and the others to follow.
