So this website, bleedingviolin.com, hosts some amazing drawings, concepts, paintings, and general artwork dedicated to gaming (both retro and modern), including painted consoles, controllers, arcade decals, etc. The picture above is just one of many awesome designs showcased.

This week’s tune is from the Swedish artist Wiklund, in particular the track Wing Beats from the EP of the same name. As you’re hearing, it’s quite an energetic piece, so probably suitable if this tune was played either cleaning the house, or on the dancefloor. The EP is free to download from http://www.crunchyco.com/ and more tunes on his 8bc profile.

Have you folks been to instructables.com? Very informative site dedicated to showing the world on how to make cool bits and pieces with full blown instructions laid out for them. This one in particular is very cool, with a guide on how to make an Atari Joystick lamp! Doesn’t look too hard, just need the right tools :)

And finally, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection is now available in Australia, unscathed, untouched, left as is.. Thanks OFLC! Although, it is out on the Xbox Live Arcade for 800 points, I checked on the PSN and it’s not there.. So I grabbed it on XBLA instead to get a quick suss.. Yeah pretty good! I mean what can I say? It’s Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and Ultimate 3. Plenty of graphics options, and you get the moves list available as well. which would be handy for me with MK3, I’m no good at, MK2? Forget it! So I’m assuming that if/when it comes out to the Australian PSN, it will be around $15 or so. $5 a game, beaut value pretty much! Well, this is coming from a Mortal Kombat fan after all ;)
