Hello there and welcome to the another edition of  Stuck At The Home Screen. Whether you’ve been dipping your toe in the waters of reduced restrictions or playing it safe and sticking indoors (while it’s freeeeezing across most of Australia), we’re here to help with a collection of neat retro gaming themed video’s we’ve continued to dig up. Some of these are pretty old, some old-ish, and some new. But they’re all worth a watch, so we hope you enjoy.

Justin Whang! takes a deep-dive into the mystery of just who Punch-Out!!’s Glass Joe defeated in his one victory.

Here we see Tetris veteran Trey Harrison have a shot at Tetris Effect by Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the creator of classics like Rez and Lumines.

Here’s a look at why Mega Man ZX is well deserving a play, from dookieshed.

Keeping with the Mega Man theme, here’s a look back at the old Battle Network series from Negative Legend.

And finally for today, here we have the controversial-yet-pioneering web video dude Doug Walker with a suss of the old anime Sonic The Hedgehog Movie. This film holds a special place in me heart since as a child my local library had a copy to borrow…and borrow it a lot I did, haha! I think they even advertised it with a trailer at the beginning of some copies of Pokemon on VHS back in the day.

Here’s the one where I learnt what the name of the great background track is. I’ve been wanting to know that since I was a kid…noice!

And would you look at that, the full movie’s on there as well. Enjoy!

And that’s it for todays extra big pile of video-based entertainment! Be sure to check out the next episode of Stuck At The Home Screen next week. If you come across a video you think would be good in one of these please feel free to let us know.

From all of us at Retrospekt, stay safe, and have a great day!
