Cosplay.  Love it or hate it, it’s part of geek culture.  Many can’t pull it off, but the image below is definitely an exception!

Here we have Smoke, Sub Zero, Reptile and Scorpion, the infamous Ninjas from Mortal Kombat, posing together. Cool costumes if I don’t say so myself, and bonus points for the “friendship” banner too :D

Have any of you played the retro-inspired indie game Super Crate Box? If not, you should grab it for your Mac or PC quick smart. However, if you want to play it on the go, it is now available for iOS as a universal app. The objective of Super Crate Box is to collect as many crates as you can for points, whilst destroying enemies in your path. Luckily, each time you collect a crate, you get a power-up to use against the enemies. Cute fun, and a very clean port!

Here’s one for the ladies who appreciate the finer things in life- like classic-gaming!  ;)  A store on Etsy is selling glow-in-the-dark Pac-Man bras!  Get ’em while they’re still available.

Is there anything that could make listening to the tune “Derezzed” by Daft Punk, (which was played in the nightclub fight scene in Tron Legacy) more interesting than it already is?  How about hearing the rendition on old-school computer hardware!  Here is a version of the tune with not just 1, but 5 Floppy Drives!

And finally, Bubble Bobble is a game which came out on just about every platform in existence.  The Amstrad CPC was one of the many infamous and very cool home computers from back in the day that got a port of Bubble Bobble, but sadly many have reported that it was sorely lacking.  A LOT.  To remedy this, someone has re-created Bubble Bobble for the CPC with a host of additions, including music (the original didn’t have music, but rather a minimal amount of sound effects).  So while the original remains a classic,  I am happy to report that this new rendition is a breath of fresh air!
